Shift Supervisor Vacancy - Cover across our bases at Frenchay and Greenway on a rolling rota

Frendoc Ltd, a not-for-profit primary healthcare company In Bristol operating both out of hours GP centres from Frenchay and Southmead and a family style GP practice in St. Pauls.

We currently have a vacancy for an out of hours shift supervisor to be part of a team to provide Operational Supervisory cover across our bases at Frenchay and Greenway on a rolling rota, covering shifts between the hours of 17:00-23.15 Monday to Friday 07.45am-23.13pm Saturday and Sunday on a minimum of 21 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the successful candidate should have first line management experience gained in either a patient centred or customer focused commercial background. The role demands a certain amount of flexibility and an element of on call responsibility.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our operational and clinical cover meets requirements whilst on shift to enable us to reach our measures of compliance and patient safety at all times. You will achieve this through effective movement of resource to ensure both operational and clinical cover at all times. Ensuring technical support is sought when required and all staff follows the Frendoc procedures and policies as stated through our general policies and specific job descriptions. You will be required to travel between our bases at Frenchay and Southmead bases in addition to attending the Staple hill head office when required both in and out of hours.

Your line management responsibilities will cover ensuring staff are aware of any new policies relating to their roles, organising training and induction, absence and holiday reporting, health and safety, accident & incident reporting, appraisals and managing staffing levels and other resource levels such as vehicles, pharmaceutical stocks and equipment supplies. You will also provide guidance to all staff working on your shift escalating any issues to the Operational Manager where necessary.

The Operational centre of Frendoc is currently undergoing changes in order to provide the business with stability and growth into the future. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability to lead and promote change proactively to their team at all times.
