Summary
Frendoc Ltd is a high quality, not for profit out of hours Urgent care organisation, whose aim is to provide optimum patient care to urgent care patients. Our operating hours are from 18.30 to 08.00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours over the course of weekends and Bank Holidays.

WEEKEND Telephone Nurse Advisor – Based in Staple Hill
Salary up to £36,192 pro rata
Frendoc Ltd seeks telephone nurse advisors to provide safe, effective advice and information to our patients in the out of hour’s period. Working as part of the advisor team you will be responsible for sign posting the patient to the most appropriate care pathway.
Working in our new state of the art Operational Centre Head Quarters you will work as part of a friendly team in the delivery of a first class service. We are currently recruiting for weekend hours Saturday and Sunday. Nursing qualifications are essential for this role.
For the position you will need excellent communication skills, be fully computer literate a self starter capable of working on own initiative and as part of a multifunctional team.

Function
To provide out of hours safe and effective telephone advice and information to the general public, within a primary care setting as part of a team of Nurses and GP’s.
Line Manager
Head of Clinical Operations, Head of Nursing and Clinical Lead
Duties
- To make telephone contact with patients/carers and undertake assessment of their immediate health concerns, using telephone decision support software (Plain:TAS).
- Assess the health concerns and using the correct guidelines decide whether the patient needs telephone advice with reference to self care within the software, further medical assessment by a GP or referral to other service providers.
- Knowledge of care for patients of all age ranges.
- To keep accurate and immediate records of every consultation including assessment and advice given, using the computerised call centre system (Plain TAS and Adastra).
- To assist in the education of patients and carers in the appropriate use of Primary care and Emergency care services and other health care related organisations.
- To maintain patient confidentiality.
- To work as a member of the medical team providing high quality evidence based care to patients within the Primary Care Centre setting.
- To work within the NMC code of Professional conduct.
